“Practising yoga helps cultivate compassion, reduces suffering and generates good karma! Yoga offers ways to access peace, no matter what is going on around us.”

I became interested in yoga when I noticed how markedly energised and joyful I felt after practising! Over the years I’ve tried many teachers and spent years doing home practice. My experience and studies with yoga have highlighted how everything we do and say has an effect on everyone around us, and in turn everyone around them. Practising yoga helps cultivate compassion, reduces suffering and generates good karma! THIS is how we can make the world a better place, and that really interests me.

I became a yoga teacher because I wanted to share the huge benefits I was receiving in my life due to what I was learning from yoga, and I wanted to learn more and keep on learning! I feel that sharing yoga is an excellent means to help each other improve self-awareness; cultivate self-compassion; improve health and well-being; bring movement and flexibility to areas of the body and the mind that lack it; increase contentment; and find ways to access peace, no matter what is going on around us.

I decided to join the Yoga Synergy team because of what I have learned with Simon and Bianca: the importance of moving consciously and actively, yet gently and fluidly, into postures, creating internal heat and maintaining a relaxed, steady, unlaboured breath. Also, releasing tension where we don’t need to hold it. The Yoga Synergy method is a way to practise yoga and a way to practise life. The insights have been invaluable, and it is a privilege to be given the opportunity and community to share those insights.
