Description

Whatever style of yoga you teach, being able to provide your students with accurate and perceptive adjustments is vital. When you’re able to make adjustments with ease and confidence, your students enjoy greater benefits from their yoga practice. If you’d like to continue to develop yours skills as a yoga teacher, then this new workshop is for you.

Bianca has over 25 years worth of teaching experience, has been training teachers since 1999, and is also a qualified physiotherapist  – alignment and adjustment are one of her passions. This course is part of the Yoga Synergy Teacher Training, but may also be attended by anyone who holds a 200h Teacher Training certificate.

 

Course structure:

Students wishing to join this workshop but do only part, must do at least Weekend A. For safety purposes we cannot have people joining in Weekend B without having done Weekend A as a pre-requisite, no matter the level of experience.

Weekend A (3 & 4 August, 2019) 16 hours:

Saturday 3 August 9am – 1pm:
Introduction to alignment. Basic standing pose alignment – Trikonasana, Parsvakonasana, Parsvottanasana, Virabhadrasana

Saturday 3 August 9am – 1pm:
Introduction to alignment. Basic standing pose alignment – Trikonasana, Parsvakonasana, Parsvottanasana, Virabhadrasana

Saturday 3 August 2pm – 6pm:
Introduction  to adjustment, basic principles – Adho Mukha Svanasana, Purvottanasana, Paschimottanasana

Sunday 4 August 9am – 1pm:
Basic foundation for adjusting standing poses – Trikonasana, Parsvakonasana, Parsvottanasana

Sunday 4 August 2pm – 6pm:

Foundation for adjusting floor poses – forward bends, Janu Sirsasana, Swastikasana, Baddha konasana.

Weekend B (10 & 11 August, 2019) 16 hours:

Saturday 10 August 9am – 1pm:
Adjusting standing poses – Parivrtta Trikonasana, Parivrtta Parsvakonasana,

Saturday 11 August 2pm – 6pm:

Adjusting floor poses – Parsva Janu Sirsasana, Parivrtta Maricyasana, Urdhva Dhanurasana

Sunday 12 August 9am – 1pm:

Safety and alignment in inversions: headstand, shoulderstand, handstand, forearm balance

Sunday 12 August 2pm – 6pm:

How to adjust in inversions: headstand, shoulderstand, handstand, forearm balance

Attendance at Weekend A is a pre-requisite for attendance at Weekend B.

About the teacher

Bianca is the co-founder and owner of Yoga Synergy and has over 27 years experience teaching yoga, managing a studio and creating a community. Bianca and Simon’s shared passion for yoga has led to the creation of Yoga Synergy daily yoga classes, workshops, teacher training courses and international events.
