The other day my little almost 2 year old munchkin Eric, heard me say “monkey” in a sentence not directed to him and then proceeded to lunge around the house for the next 5 minutes with his little arms in the air holding the branch (as we do in the kids yoga sequence) making monkey sounds. I then joined in of course!! But isn’t that fantastic that he can, without being heavily exposed to the sequence pull out a great yoga pose for himself with a twist of fun for us all in a moments notice. Three cheers for the kids of today who are starting out ‘EaRLy’ to be the yogis of tommorrow.

That’s too cute!! My kids are the same, they also like to make up there own yoga poses. 4yr old boy puts his feet on the couch and hands to the floor (much like an assisted handstand) and likes to call it ‘dog pose turning into a wheel barrow!’. When my 8yr old daughter does a headstand she says she’s getting her brain ready to do some homework.

That’s clever!! We should all do a headstand before approaching work.
Kids are so instinctual. Of course by doing that there’s more blood supply to the brain which would probably increase concentration. I love that!

Hi Everyone!
I’ve just added some new photos of my daughter Amaliah in my munchkin yoga class the other day. We have alot of fun in these classes and the kids get a real chance to use their bodies in a way that moves them towards concentration, relaxation, strength, flexability and fitness. I invite you to add pictures of your own kids doing yoga and if you’re close enough pop in for a class for your kids someday. They’ll thank you when they’re 20!
