Simon’s demonstration of the water sequence is a unique combination of the Yoga Synergy method with qi-gong, an ancient Chinese exercise that uses movement with breath to manipulate energy flow in the body. You can watch the sequence with guided instruction, or with music when you become more familiar with it. The complete beginner practice can be practised as a dynamic meditation, to help relieve stress and build strength, flexibility and fitness. It is suitable for anyone who is able to sit comfortably on the floor and get up without assistance. Some of the postures require weight bearing on the arms and the ability to balance on one leg, although these postures can be omitted if necessary.
